New Enchantment depends mainly on the support of our friends. We invite new and current friends to join us in local activities and we appreciate the financial support our friends contribute toward the success of our environmental programs.

By donating and becoming a friend of New Enchantment, you will be supporting the initiatives planned for the 2018-2020 triennium:

  • Facilitate local activities led by the monitors within the Núcleos: this includes outdoor activities, picnics and campouts as well as education around such things as recycling best practices and reduction of plastic, with an overarching theme of greenhouse gas reductions.
  • Offer travel scholarships for those interested in spending some time on Maui, to learn about the principles of agroforestry and permaculture at Haiku Aina Permaculture Initiative (HAPI).
  • Provide logistical support for UDV work teams going to Maui to work on the Plantio on Awalau.
  • Support our sister organization in Brazil, Novo Encanto, to achieve their goals of conserving rainforests in Brazil. (specific initiative for 2019-2020 is still to be determined)
  • Coordinate an expedition to the Seringal Novo Encanto in Acre Brazil and to Machu Picchu, in Peru in 2019. Participants will experience the natural environment of our sacred plants within the context of where Mestre Gabriel recreated the UDV.
