• Use reusable containers whenever possible.
• In the United Sates, 70% of the carbon we release into the atmosphere comes from buildings and vehicles. Improve the energy and water efficiency of your home or office. Educate yourself with your local energy resources.
• Compost
• Reduce (first), Reuse (next best preference), Recycle (Track your recycling to be sure it is not more than your trash that goes into landfills.)
• Practice moving toward zero waste dinners at campouts. Everything possible is reused, recycled, composted and monitor your trash so that as little trash as possible or no trash goes into landfills.
